7th Okinawan FEASTival
September 7 to 21, 2026
Okinawan FEASTival is a delicious way we can support Okinawan-owned (and Okinawan-at-Heart) restaurants and food businesses on O‘ahu. From the opening of American Cafe in 1923 to today, there have been over 350 in Hawaii. Most have closed, but a new generation of around 58 Okinawan-owned eateries and food businesses are operating on Oahu today. Sadly, in the last six years, 25 Okinawan owned food businesses have shut their doors. FEASTival continues as a way to support our local businesses and help them keep operating. FEASTival is an ‘ono way to discover new eateries and revisit old favorites.
Okinawan FEASTival 2026 List of Specials (text only)
FEASTival 2026 Timeline for Specials (Pre-orders Dates & Start Dates)
Alan Wongs at The Veranda
FEASTival Special: Alan Wongs is bringing back two of their award-winning drinks featuring Awamori, the heritage drink of Okinawa, for FEASTival! Alan Wongs was the first restaurant to feature Awamori on their regular menu, so it's really special that Awamori Sunrise and Ghost of Okinawa are making a return! Awamori Sunrise is a twist on a local favorite "POG" with lilikoi, orange, and guava. It's a refreshing blended concoction with Awamori, perfect for those who don't like a strong alcohol flavor. Ghost of Okinawa is a clear, "Blanc de Blancs" spin on the classic Manhattan using aged Awamori, aromatized wine and elderflower liqueur. This drink showcases the complexity of aged Awamori.
