History
“Ige’s Lunchwagon and Catering, opened in 1990, grew from humble beginnings. In the mid 1970’s, my dad built my mom her own kitchen in the garage behind our home in Aiea and Ige’s was born. For over a decade, business kept growing to a point where all of us children were helping out. Mom taught all of us how to cook. Eventually we grew too big for our residential location and in 1989 we received an eviction notice. This was devastating news but looking back that was the best thing that ever happened to our family. Mom was getting older and us children had already started to take over, so with her blessing, we all decided to build our own kitchens. We have now grown into one of the largest catering companies in the state, while still offering plate lunches from our take-out window during the week. With a reputation of offering generous portions of tasty food at a fair price, we work hard to uphold the same standards that have got us to where we are today. My family and I would like to thank you for all of your patronage and loyalty throughout these years. We will continue to do whatever we can to continue the legacy my parents started.” -Ronald Ige
